Invitations open to beta testers, Carry your videos with you, Plugin update, Bug fixes and more

At reeplay.it we have been working hard
over recent months to improve the application by introducing new
features, streamlining the user interface, supporting more platforms
and making the whole thing more reliable and bug-free. There is a lot
more to come, and we welcome your feedback, but we hope you are
enjoying reeplay.it already.

Of all this stuff, I want to point out two major things: IE plugin and iPod syncing

1)
Internet Explorer Plugin: we had some problems on certain platforms
with the plugin. Thanks to the cooperation of some beta testers, we
could debug the problem and came up with a patched version. Please
follow the 3 easy steps at the bottom of this email to replace the
present software. By the way, the new release works much better on many
sites.

2) iPod Syncing: I find this really exciting: you can
carry your videos with you; click to save the video, sync your ipod and
voilĂ !, you have your videos downloaded to your player.

When you
select a playlist on the PC interface, at the top of the right panel
you can see an orange RSS icon. Just drag and drop this icon into
iTunes to subscribe to this playlist as a podcast. All videos contained
in the playlist will be downloaded to your iTunes and you will find
them on your iPod at the next sync.

I setup a specific "ipod"
playlist; all videos I insert in this playlist get synced to my ipod
automagically! I use this extensively with some cartoons for my babies
and with some content I want to watch while on the move (subway,
airplane…); I am very happy with my purchase of an iPod A/V cable so
I connect the iPod to the TV set (at home or in hotels); combined with
reeplay.it it effectively becomes a nice Video on demand-PVR.

You will find below a list of the other features/debugs we have been working on the release presently running.

Now… invitation time has come!

With
the official opening day approaching we have wanted to give you, as a
founding user, the opportunity to invite your friends and family to
join reeplay.it. We hope they will enjoy the service too and that you
will enjoy being able to share videos with the people who are important
to you. In addition we hope that having more testers will help us to
improve the service even further.

If you want to receive  pre-opening invitations, please send me an email!

As ever we are eager to hear your what you have to say. Please feel free to contact me directly or leave us feedback at: http://reeplayit.uservoice.com/
